July 11, 2005

Note: What started out as a word of the day, has become “WORDS” of the day.

I hope you don’t think these are the Russian spellings of the words. The translators have their own way of writing the word for me (Special- ED Terry). Actually two of the women are teachers; one is tech school and the other in college. Nothing worse than real teachers to tutor me. Every day they ask me to repeat the words and as usual, I fail miserably. You would think they would give up.

Things went pretty well today. It took half the day to do the repairs. 30 minutes to replace and reprogram the computer and 4.5 hours to get the equipment to calibrate the scales. It is the most frustrating thing to wait on other people. That’s probably the reason I work best by myself. After all the repairs were completed, we delivered 10 meters of concrete and all went well.

The best news of the day, I got my walking papers. I check in to the Aurora Hotel July 27th and arrive home July 28th at 11:21 PM (sorry Beth I hope you don’t have to work the next day) on Northwest Air. This means I can officially start the count down. No one starts their countdown until they see their date posted. It’s bad luck.

Anxious to get home,

Terry
